I had some Suave shampoo that I used about 25% of. I added some Aloe Vera Juice to the rest of it because I was bored. I washed my hair with it today and it was great! My hair wasn't tangled and didn't feel completely stripped. I think this is something I may continue to do in the future. Just thought I'd share that.

Hmmm...I may have to stop by Whole Foods...I love Aussie Moist Line of products and it does great so far...and I have been using it for 6 months now...I wonder if I add this in will it boost its power...

That's interesting, I may have to try that this weekend. Thanks for sharing.

BraunSugar, did you add this to a clarifying or moisturizing shampoo?

Thanks to the ladies, can't remember names, who posted about it's detangling powers, I have been using avj on my natural hair for detangling. My permed hair hates it so I use Mane N' Tail on that portion then shampoo. This has worked miracles for me! I can only imagine that this may be a plus for shampoo. I will be trying this weekend!

When I use commercial shampoo (Giovanni smooth as silk) I do add aloe vera juice, coconut oil and honey and it does wonders on my hair. I<ve been transitioning for 13 months and have 23 months left.

What size are you guys buying your aloe vera juice because I'd like to try it but my hair is very thick so I may need a gallon on something.

I have the gallon size. I got it from Walmart in the pharmacy area. I bought it originally to use as a refresher spray.

I have been putting it in my shampoo as well. I have definitely noticed that it does not feel as tangly anymore.

Do you all think this could go bad? I'd be interested in trying it but Aloe Vera Juice is one of those sensitive ingredients and I'd hate to ruin a bottle (again lol) of shampoo.

This is a great question, can a person still use Aloe vera Juice on their hair after the expiration date? I wonder if there will be any negative effects? Mine is approaching the 2 month mark and I really don't want to throw it out if I can help it :)

Yep, avj is cheaper at Walmart-$8 for a gallon and it's pure. I don't feel so bad when it turns...it was only $8.

I won't be adding AVJ to an entire bottle of shampoo; I will mix it in an application bottle, no sense in ruining a good bottle of shampoo. Just a thought.:ohwell:

I plan on experimenting and adding it to my aussie moist shampoo that i've already been diluting with water.
