I saw this on clearance at walmart, I REALLY wanted to buy it, but the material does like it could be abrasive, and possibly cause damage to hair (wet hair especially). Maybe I am overeacting. What do you think? does anyone use this?
I have this bun maker. I covered it with a black sock. You could also cover it with satin and stitch the satin up. I like it. I used to use socks alone to form the donut, but over time they would lose their shape.
I just use 2 old socks and a Hanes knee hi I had
hanging around ...
I watched a YouTube video that showed me how.
I cut the toe parts off.
Using my arm, I first pulled the knee hi up then each sock with
the knee hi coming up higher on my arm than the socks and
peeking out from the bottom by my hand.
I then flipped the longer part over the socks and began rolling
down.
To finish off, the leftover knee hi fabric at the bottom got flipped
over the sock.
Next time I'll use just one sock for a smaller bun.
