This is, in my opinion, a top quality protein for protecting and reinforcing the hair structure. But there is something I've never really thought of before regarding this ingredient: Just whose human hair are they using to get the keratin?

I'm kind of hoping it isn't deceased folks, but that's a real possibility now isn't it? :ohwell:

ewwww... not from dead people :barf:

Maybe they get it from processed human hair.

They have to cut the hair down to specific sizes when they sell it. Maybe it's leftovers from the cuttings.

E-mail Joico and find out:yep: I always wondered the same thing whenever I look at the bottle...whose HHHK?

Probably just synthesized and use the same amino acids that make up human keratin. Or just a sales gimmick. There would have to be some type of disclaimer if they were using human protein(I think anyway).
