Had the hugest scare of my regenerating hair's life! I've not been combing it but just pulling it under for a few days, smoothing top and edges towards a faux-bun. You know, some people don't always comb it everyday in that in-between. Well, today, my hair was just a mess underneath, feeling dry and tangled.. so I combed it gently. Hair coming out like crazy in the back!!!!:nono: I immediately reached for the Infusium and it stopped breaking, even when dry. Shrugs.

I truly believe it was the Matrix shampoo last time, deep condition with lots of egg, and heat in the house for this extreme cold. :nono: I already cut of waist-length locs with a failed color application melting my hair last year. Sigh....thought I had to shave again. The front and top didn't shed. So, this means I have to go back to using the silk scarf/bonnet at night, moisturizing and hand-detangling daily. Furnace heat is no joke. It can wreck your hair. And if your shampoo isn't moisturizing enough, that means a mess. I hope Ulta takes this junk back cuz it's not for me. Thinking of Organix with no sulphates...anybody have suggestions? I don't like a lot of glop in my hair. What to do?

I'm not sure, but you could try using a humidifier in your house to add moisture to the air. Or baggy your hair while indoors (even if you don't wet it) after you re-moisturize.

Also, you may have protein overload from all the egg and could try some protein-free moisturizing deep conditioners.

i agree with the humidifier and do teh loc method but switch the letters to lco as well. i like giovanni for shampoos....thus far chinese botanicals, 50:50 and smooth as silk have all worked well for me. deep condition a ton with conditioners that are a mix of moisture & protein.
