I am currently rocking a dominican blow out and I would like to know the best treatment/method of washing or cowashing to bring back my curls. I got it blown out and trimmed so I'm back to apl and I am hoping I did not suffer any heat damage please send some tips my way as I need your help.

I bought silicon mix, can I use that as my DC I have other condish if needed

Or should I do a protein condish AO

Your response is appreciated

I don't know that there is a specific technique to wash to make sure that the curls return. Whatever damage may have occurred would have occurred during the straightening process already.

However, it might a be a good idea to do a light protein as well as a deep-conditioning treatment at the first wash. I have only had my hair blown out twice since natural, and when I washed it after the blow out, I had to make sure that my hair was really saturated in conditioner (more than usual) because I realize that wetting my hair the first couple of times in the shower doesn't get the curls back right away. The conditioner seems to remove all the heat, so to speak, and bring back the curliness.

I don't see why you would have to do anything different from your normal wash routine. I would comb it out while it's still straigh to remove any shed hairs and reduce potential tangling. If your hair is damaged, the damage has already been done.
