Hi ladies I am hoping someone could help. Okay, i am a natural and i love being a natural my curls and all but once in awhile i want to wear my hair straight just for a little change. However, i have not been able to do so because each time i do my hair looks so thin. When i wear my hair natural my curls are so full and bouncy but when i straighten my hair looks thin. What products do you think could help me with this problem. I want fullness!

Thanks in advance.

I tell everyone use less product. When I straighten my hair I use a watery heat protectant. It keeps my hair from being weighed down or looking thin.

Nexxus Biotin Shampoo and for a temporary fullness when I was perming I would use egg yolks mixed with avocados.

Nexxus Diametress shampoo, Dominican conditioners and Jamaican Black castor oil does the trick for me. Try to go easy on the oils because they tend to make your hair limp.

I know you asked for products, but I thought you might want to consider drinking carrot juice. I started drinking carrot juice, and now my hair is thick even after I relax. Before, I had a real problem with my hair gettin thin each time I got a relaxer, but no more. Carrot juice is great for this!

I tried carrot the carrot juice before and it did help alot!! But I got so tired of drinking it. I have the same problem, my hair looks thin after I get a relaxer. I hate touch-up time because of this!

i know carrot juice thickens your hair but did your hair get longer from drinking it?

I use castor oil as a preshampoo treatment weekly and this works for me.

my mother and grandmother use to swear that castor oil makes your thicker. she used this on my hair along with a bunch of other oils. my hair was thick as a child but i can't really say that the castor caused it to be thick.

I did not notice any additional length. I had the same amount of growth, just thicker.

I wasn't juss drinking carrot juice, so I cain't say for sure what caused my added length. But I had been taking the vitamins long enough for me to notice that they had no effect on the thickness of my hair.

You are so on point with this one. After baggie method, I airdired and tried to curl with steam rollers -- My hair looked so thin, flat. -- I was too sad.

I know what you mean I hate that fine fly away hair after a relaxer, she usually wraps it then straightens it. It looks so fine and it aint that bad normally. I usually rollerset my hair after every wash to give my hair the body and curl I need with less damage.
So next relaxer I am insisting that she rollersets my full head to give me back my fullness.
