Well I think you've taken the most important step is deciding to just go for it. Make sure you moisturize your braids with a braid spray I reccomend African Pride that's what I use. I would suggest do a search on braids and check out natural ladies' regimes to help you formulate a regime of your own. Good Luck. hth
I've been natural for almost 2 years now and I chopped all my relaxed hair off and started from scratch! You sound like you're transitioning which is what my 15 year old daughter is doing (she's been relaxer free for almost 2 years). Do what feels right and what's comfortable for you. When you're ready to go fully natural it's a decision you should make. I love my natural hair, and I'm very glad for the decision I made.
it depends on what route ur taking....do u wanna be natural but still want straight hair? do u want to do a big chop or transition?
It all depends on how much time and effort ur willing to spend on learning about ur hair...there are several natural members here...maybe some of us can help you
