How to get the straightest flat iron on natural hair?

How do you naturals or former naturals get super straight, yet bouncy flat ironed hair? Feel free to elaborate on the products, styling tools, and methods that you used.

Try thermal heat rather than ceramic. I just bought one with the marcel handles. You just heat it in the stove like a hot-comb.

I've been getting my hair straight with the following...

- wash and condition hair in braids
- final rinse with Apple Cider Vinegar
- lacio lacio as a leave-in
- blow dry (oops)
- chi silk infusion and then flat iron
- use a touch of argan oil and then wrap
