How much hair should you lose when taking out a weave?

I alternate leaving a weave in for 8-10 weeks and getting it removed. It seems like a lot of hair is coming out. I don't know if it is because it has been braided and not combed and this is natural or if I am doing some harm to my hair. I do wgo and mtg in between the tracks, so I don't think moisture is a problem.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Remember average shedding is 50-100 hairs/day, as they say.

I think I had less hair breakage after removing weaves than I did when removing braids, but that was just me.

I think sometimes, removing braids can mean more manipulation, thus more breakage, in my case.

But, still since your hair is shedding over the weeks, there should be quite a but that you are going to see all at one time like that.

It could be that the hair is just adding up from when it would have naturally shed or it could need some protein. Try spraying your hair with diluted Infusium a few times a week in addition to moisturizing your hair and see if that helps. And make sure your taking a regular multivitamin daily.

Depending on how long you had the weave in and the braids underneath.:( I will let you know soon how much I lose after 7 weeks.:perplexed
