I have a sew-in right now and it's been a few weeks, maybe 4. I plan to go another 1-2 wks. I think on average I retain around 1/2 inch, though I never really measured. Have you taken down your sew-in (or will do so soon)?

When I wear braids for two months (that's about as long as I can go) I usually get about 1.5 - 2 inches of growth and retention.

I retain about 3/4 -1 inch, I started keeping track last year sometime, I thought I was getting an inch every month and I wanted to estimate how long it would take for me to get to waist length.

Yes, unless I do something stupid and have a setback (or trim). I think I average 1/2 in. per month...probably 1 in. with a growth spurt.

Same here...If I take it down right I retain about 1 inch per month that my braids or weave is in...I'm in braids now (5 days so far) and I am looking to grow and retain 1.5-2 inches by late July.
