I had my hair relaxed 1 months ago (I went from natural). Since then its started to fall out quite a bit, (200+ strands a day) I keep on asking my hairdresser for help and all she does is put on a reconstructive treatment, which works fine for a week, then my hair starts to fall out again. I was wondering a) if this is normal b) if my hairdresser is prescribing the right course of action (at £40 it isn’t cheap) c) is there anything I can buy to stop it.

Maybe your hair was over-processed. Is it the same stylist who gave you the relaxer giving you the protein treatments?

In any case it's worth seeing a dermatologist - at least NHS should take care of the expense and the doctor is more likely to be honest about what's really wrong.

I'm sorry this is happening to you and hope you find a solution soon.

Are you moisturizing and deep conditioning? Clarifying may help, maybe you have product build up (?) Or maybe one of your hair products doesn't agree with your hair. Sorry I'm not more helpful, it's 5 in the morning and my baby's kept me up all night. My brain is mush right now :)
