Hey guys.. im interested in compiling like a lil online collage of all those who have experience hair growth from the advice given on this site.... i want pics too like before and after...i think its good for those who need encouragement to see its possible.... if possible i would like each person picture to state their hair type and whether they are natural texlaxed or relaxed.. also their regimen.. i think it would be a great idea for like newcomers... to

oh yea did someone already... compile of list for newcomers.. i think its would be very helpful so they dont have to search so hard ...... like a thread that answers the most common newbie question like cowash and rollersetinng and pre poo . why too much flat ironing or blowdrying is bad... all those things.. i think it would be a great if we just had a link to a page like that where they can read allt hat stuff first... casue i guess all these post can be overwhelming

I have experienced great hair growth, on this site. However this year, I plan to be more consistent with my hair growth.

Cool idea!

Yes I definitely have experienced growth in the SHORT time I've been here at LHCF. I've been here two months and I've got about a full 1 inch of growth in that time. I think the lessons I've learn here are invaluable. I was so afraid of my own hair at one point because I literally did NOT know how to properly take care of it. This site has definitely given me the confidence to not have to rely on a stylist to take care of my tresses, and that maintenance of health (my primary concern) will naturally lead to length retention, which leads to visible growth. I havent done my end of the month progress pics yet with my shirt... But I will post something later on when I take progress pics for Feb and get my relaxer for accurate measurements/results.:yep:

I HAVE!

My one month progress. I haven't taken any really recent progress pics cuz I'm bootcamp and forbidden from using heat. but my regime is:

  1. Pre poo/ Dry Condish with my favorite condish mixture. (some of the ones I use are Tresemme Anti Breakage or Suave Humectant mixed with V05 or Sunsilk).
  2. Steam turban that for at least 30 minutes or sit under the hood dryer.
  3. Rinse then shampoo with my shampoo mixture or clarify if its that time. (Poo diluted with water or avacado oil and some peppermint and rosemerry oil).
  4. Rinse then Deep Condition with fave Deep condish. (Relaxed & Natural Breakage Defense Mask).
  5. Under the hooded dryer for 45 minutes to an hour then rinse under the shower.
  6. Add favorite condish rinse to hair and gather hair into a ponytail before rinsing. (Vicky Secret So sexy or Sunsilk)
  7. Leave hair the ponytail and let it air dry with a scarf after adding moistuizer, leave-in and hair oil. (Infusium, Elasta QP and coconut oil)
  8. Baggy hair only after at least 90% dry.
  9. If edges aren't smooth, use 100% boar brush along with a little Eco non-alcohol gel and Pro Line Wave Keeper.
  10. Throw on my phonypony and go!
This is what I usually do. It's a protective style, low manipulation. It's still cute. And It's helped with my hair growth. As far as my hair getting thicker, I owe that to castor oil and taking Biotin.

:whyme:I would like to put my hands alllllll the way in the air. I don't have any previous pictures, because I couldn't afford a camera much less a computer. BUT, gurl let me tell you my hair was "toe" up. I couldn't even put a track in because when I used to glue it, my hair was so see through you can see where the track and the scalp meet. :nono:

But no more. My hair is APL and growing Thanks LHCF!

I learned soooo much on this site that I still recommend it to my friends and I have been AWOL since summer '05. Even though I haven't been around, I'm a lhcf'er for life! I went from a little past shoulder length to past bra strap length of healthy and thick hair.

My hair has grown a couple of inches in the short time I found LHCF....and its not the growth that I'm excited about

  • I no longer have dandruff/ dry itchy scalp
  • no longer have dry hair
  • hair is so much stronger
  • don't have that dull look anymore.... hair has a nice healthy shine to it

I am forever grateful to LHCF.:up: My texlaxed hair (which I was already doing by "accident") has turned around dramatically since I first came here in 2003 and it started looking much healthier in just a few weeks. :yep:
