I know some ppl wash right after but I was thinking that could take away from the treatment. Ive heard other hairdressers say that it takes some days for the breakage to stop and its not automatic. Also, in Shamboosies book "beautiful black hair" he says that u should condition every 4 days bc thats how long a conditioner will last.

That leads me to the question, should u wait a few days to wash your hair after getting a protein treatment so u can get the full benefit from it? What about a co wash, would that be ok? Or should u just wait a while to do anything except moisturize? DRC is expensive evem though I got a deal on it,so I want to make sure I get its full affect! lol

I think you should. When I do heavy duty protein, I always rollerset (because airdrying is a no go when I use one) and let it be for a few days. I don't even CW. You probably can, I just don't. a

Tracy,
u are right about the air drying...lol. My hair started to feel rough and crunchy when it started drying even though I had deep conditioned for an hour and put in leave in and moisturizer already. So I sprayed it wet again, put on some more moisturizer and put it in a bun. It felt much better when it dried that time.

By the way, Ive been meaning to tell u, I just found out u are a law school grad which is funny and ironic bc my sister is a lawyer and her name is Tracy too....lol.
