Hi all!

I have a head full of olive oil and a bit of elucence moisture balance conditioner that I put in yesterday afternoon. i'm wearing a plastic shower cap and have been covering it with a scarf when I need to go out.

I know I need to wash at some point, but I have a busy day today and tomorrow and was wondering if I need to wash it before then to avoid breakage/overconditioning. :perplexed

I don't have the time to style it after I wash it, and that's making me procrastinate.

What's a girl to do?

Well I usually only pre-poo no more than an hour because the real conditoning will happen after you shampoo, and then begin to deep condition.

The longest I have done a prepoo is about 3 hours only because I was on the computer working on something.

Never have done it over night or next day. My normal prepoo is 1 hour to 90 minutes.

the longest i ever done was over night. the shortest 2 hours which i have been doing so my color will not fade

I've prepooed for 24 hours! I've never experienced that mushy thing that people talk about. The secret for my hair is moisture, moisture, moisture and my hair can't seem to get enough. I put conditioner on my hair, olive oil on the length of my hair and castor oil on my ends.

Then when I actually DC after the wash, I put olive oil on the ends in addition to my conditioner.

Some people may think this is overkill, but since I've started doing this, it's like it took my hair to the next level. My hair luvs this!

I am 4a relaxed.

Thanks ladies. I've prepooed for 2 days before without a problem - in fact, my hair is is softer and easier to comb the longer I prepoo, but I wasn't sure if this was too much or if I could go 3 days. I've heard it's not good to keep your hair wet too long and I'm not sure how long is too long. I guess it's all relative.
