It takes me 10 min to apply the relaxer and then I let it process for an additional 5 min. Total time from start to finish=15min. My hair always comes out straight with a slight wave in some places.

Wow...you ladies are great! In order for my hair to get straight, I have to leave it on another 15-20 mins after application:sekret:

I'm texlaxed, so my application time is about 7 minutes; processing time is about 8 minutes. Total time = 15 minutes.

I leave it on for about 15 minutes after application. I smooth it while I wait, because I want my hair bone straight

I leave it on for about 3-5 minutes after and my hair is always straight, if I leave it longer my hair comes out bone straight and pasted to my scalp. which I don't like. I use PCJ no lye regular. I just don't want my hair too straight. my hair relaxes really quickly, think I am gonna put Olive oil in the relaxer to slow down the processing.

Last relaxer (Narobi) I had 3 months new growth. So my stylist rinsed and then applied a 5 in 1 reconstructor so the relaxer was basically still processing because she didnt neutralize. After 8 mins, she went ahead and neutralized. I know cuz while i was at the sink, I asked her every step she did. I have heard a lot of ppl say their stylist are doing this.

After application relaxer is usually left on about 10 minutes. I like my hair bone straight

my last relaxer I used silk elements and for the regular strength the application time and smoothing said 22 mins max, so I apply and smooth within the 22 mins stated on the instructions it gave me a bone straight results....

I think next time I will use their mild, the regular is pretty strong, I want the hair straight but damnnnnnn smh. I have alot of hair so it's hard to apply and smooth under 20 mins for a regular straight not bone yaki straight (lmao) no matter how fast I move and i've been doing relaxers for years.

so now i'm walking around looking like I have a wig on smh lol!

I voted 1-5 but it's more like under 3 mins; because after applying I quickly start to smooth with the back of the rat tail comb and fingers really quick before and then wash immediately (and I wonder why I have fake looking hair right now all the dang smoothing!!!) after application I don't need to let it sit because most likely the timer is almost down to 0.

I use ORS no-lye in normal. Lol my head is a strange case, very resistant 4b hair. I do the half and half method. It takes me 35 mins to process including the 6-8 mins of application time. I guess because of the nature of my hair I should use super, but I heard it better to use normal and leave it on for extra time than to mess around with super because its easier to over-process since it will take alot less time to get your hair straight. Even after processing for 35 min there still are some under processed parts. But I dont like my hair bone straight ne way so its all good.
