I'm one of the ladies that's taken a long time as well. I started my HHJ by going natural. I hit shoulder length within a year after my BC and CBL within 2 years I think. My natural hair didn't get much longer than that. I just didn't know what my hair needed when I was natural. I texlaxed last year and have since gone from ear/neck/shoulder length to 1-2 inches above APL all around in less than a year, even after a major trim to even my hair up.

Wow it took me a whole year just to get from SL to APL. That's because my ends were jacked up and uneven. I took my time getting there because health and maintenance was more important than length to me. Now at BSL a year after, I definitely don't regret it.

took me..
9 months to get to APL from SL
6 months to get to BSL from APL
7 months to get to MBL from BSL
and that's where I am now, hoping for WL by October.
