To good hair care regimen?

I'm not sure, but I was expecting more results by now (not length, just healthier looking hair)

But I guess it's only been two months.

My hair began to respond within a month of constant moisturizing, especially when I started spritzing with distilled water (more than 2 or three times a day). It started to feel softer and look more shiney overall. Then when I decided that my nape was off limits to relaxers, I started spritzing it every day and moisturizing it twice a day along with my hailine and everything else. The texture and look appeared to change, as if it returned to the way it was when I was a child. My ends responded drastically when I started moisturizing them and keeping my hair up all the time. And before the bun and contant moisture regimen, my ends were my biggest problem

My hair began to respond better when I started using Carol's Daughter products about a month or two after I started taking better care of my hair.

But overall, I did not see a lot of improvement until I got 4-5 inches cut in December which made my hair look, feel, and react so much better. I don't get split ends at all anymore.

Then, I still had issues. Finally about a month ago, I realized that I am able to apply gel/styling products and not use a scarf to smooth b/c I don't get frizzies anymore.

That would a year overall and I am still not quite there b/c I have breakage that is as long as my natural hair. However, it's been blending in quite well and doesn't bother me quite as much anymore. It will be another year to year and a half that I will transition and I will have to deal with those shorter pieces until I cut off my relaxed hair.

So, it does take time depending on the issues you are dealing with. If I had started taking better care of my hair will I was still relaxed and had basically healthy hair with a few problem areas, I think it would have just been under 6 months before I would have been astounded by my hair health.

My hair took about a good solid month to respond to my TLC regime. But during that month I could visually see that each day the condition of my hair was better than the last so I knew what I was doing was right.

It does take time though to try different products and see what works best for your hair. In the past couple of weeks I've only just perfected my regime and this is the healthiest that my hair has EVER looked. Personally my keys to seeing healthy hair include daily conditioner washes, no heat, minimal products and weekly clarifying.

It also depends on how drastic of a change you made. I jumped head first into the 'no heat' thing, vitamins, moisture, less manipulation, etc. So the change was almost immediate. I say continue whatever you are doing - healthier habits can't hurt. Good luck.

i chose two months... but it was actually between 1 and 2 months...it takes awhile to find the perfect products and strategies for your hair...it takes trial and error to learn even more about your hair

I think my hair responded immediately. Once I started washing more, used grease less, and started doing (light) protein treatments, I noticed a difference.

I would say about 2 months. I jumped right into the no heat and moisturizng thing and it really worked for me. I usually would begin to see split ends around the three month mark of my relaxer and that didn't happen this time. I also stopped wrapping my hair. A lot of people do this with no problems but I was having some thinning issues so I decided to stop. Once I stopped wrapping combined with no heat my hairline and ends thanked me. But it does take time to find good products and for things to begin to work.
