How long did it take for your hair to even up?

I have all different lengths on my head. It's frustrating.
I want it all to catch up with the longer pieces in the back. Even if I cut it even eventually it ends up being a 'V' shape anyway.

So, my question is how long does it take for eveything to even up? If you have a few pieces that have reached apl or something, how long did it take for the rest fo it to even up?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure if your hair will ever "even up" on its own. When you get to your desired length, you can cut it evenly, but like you said it will eventually grow into a V again.

This is a hard question to answer, because hair doesn't quite work that way. It evens up whenever you chop off the longer parts. The amount of time depends on how much you cut and how often. Hair won't "catch up", you have to even it up.

For example, if the back area of my head is at APL, and my sides are at SL, then I can either chop the back area to SL so it's all even from that point, or I could trim the back a little here and there every few months until the SL hits APL.

I think maybe you mean "fill in" My hair grows at different rates. The sides grow in first then the middle back fills in and makes it look not so uneven. When this is very apparent, I have to tell my stylist NOT to cut my hair and I have to wait it out about 3 months. After that point I'd have a trim to "even" it up a bit. Its a truer view of how uneven my hair is.

I don't grow in a "V"
