without using products in your hair.
I ask this because the hit and miss thread always goes pass the 100 mark with in a few days. If you stop using products what do you think is going to happen to your hair? I really don't use products in my hair with have braids in. I only wash my hair once a month. I don't put products in my hair during the month. I put some oil in after I wash and thats it.

But that's just me and my hair. what do you think will happen to your hair if you stop using products?

I really don't think I can. My hair is insanely dry, so I would need a moisturizer or at least a sealant alone to keep my hair from getting hard and breaking off.

Even when I do wear no manipulation styles like braids, I have to get some type of moisture in my hair or else I will pay dearly when it's time to take them out.

I need mostuire even if its just plain ol' water! But i could work with some cooking oil or some kind of natural oil and lots of water my hair would be alright (long as i keep it up in a bun) but if i want to truely thrive i need that mostuire!

it gets dry, brittle, and frizzy. this is why i'm always looking for a good daily moisturizer.

I AGREE with this statement. The same thing well happen to my hair if i didn't

i can go with no product during the warmer months and my hair does okay with just water. unless you count shampoo and conditioner... in which case, i'd probably keel over and die... this was the case with my textlaxed hair too - however, my textlaxed hair would get pretty dry after about 2 weeks with no product. i only went without some kind of leave-in and oil if i was too broke to buy more. :look: my natural hair can survive without product in warm weather, but it's healthier and looks better with products. now when the cold weather hits... totally different story...

by product, do you mean shampoo and conditioner as well??

cause i dont really use any products , just rarely, and my hair hasnt fell over and died yet . lol
although i do wash my hair everyday so that may have something to do with it.
but for my hair, i can go ages just using only conditioner. my hair seems to thrive and grow so much more when i do nothing to it, and i like it that way cause i just dont have the time :)

eta: my hair in my siggy has no product and its still soft to the touch , moisturized and bouncy.

girl, believe me i have tried.   my hair is way to dry without some moisturing products in it -- brillo pad city. and besides, the fact that i'm a hardcore product junky doesn't help either. i definitely have a working regime/staples ... but i'm always on the look out for something new:D

I can go about a week w/o doing anything to it. I've tried two weeks it just doesn't work yet, but one day I will perfect it.

I usually keep my hair in twists, so on hair day I DC then I make sure I moisturize it good as I'm twisting and that will hold me till the next week. No spritzing, no nothing

lol
my hair would be broken off all over. I have dry hair so I have to use the right products and deep condition weekly. Also my hair can easily break off so I have to take really good care of it and try to not comb it too much and manipulate it too much.

No. I'm talking about all the other stuff people use in their hair. I'm not talking about oil either.

For me it's shampoo, conditioner, and castor oil. while I'm in braids.
and only after i wash my hair.

when i don't have in braids i add on leave in and portein.

Well, I could go maybe 3 days, but then I would have to co wash and use some grease because my hair doesn't really like oils.
