Say I brought the Affirm Conditioning Lye Creme Regular, which I believe only comes in regular formula, and might want to do a strand test, that means I have to pay near50 dollars for a perm that might, just might make me go bald!

I found a place to get the 4lb tub from without ordering off line, but am unsure about getting it, because I see all u ladies talking about doing a strand test first?

If this is your first time getting a relaxer, I would say DEFINITELY go to a professional. However, remember this: ALL PROFESSIONALS ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL." Just because someone has a cosmetology license doesn't mean that they know what they're doing (think of how many people on the road that have their driver's license but CANNOT drive!

) so make sure you go to someone that has a strong clientele (get referrals from people you know) and knows what they are doing.

nah Bolly, I mean since it will be the first time getting an affirm relaxer, and since they only make it in the 4lb I dont want to buy it and it doesnt come out good, I will be tight

I say go to the salon to get your hair done. Make them do a strand test on it. If your hair takes well to this perm, then you know to spend your $50 on this perm or elsewhere.
