When I have a sew-in, I use spray bottles for my shampoo and conditioner, i add a little water to the shampoo and oil to the conditioner to make them more liquified and saturate my whole head. When I DC i put a cap on and sit under a hooded dryer.

I'm curious what techniques the other ladies are using?

I'm having trouble with moisturizing my hair in a sew-in..any tips?

Hi

I wash and moisturize my braids under my sew-in's using the same method. I put the product into coloring bottles. You can get these at Sallys...they have a pointed black nozzle which allows you to get the product unto the braids easily. I have one for shampoo, conditioner and my leave in moisturizer. You may need to dilute you shampoo w/ a little water to that it flows easier. Squeeze it unto the braids and then gently rub to clean. Rinse and then apply your conditioner and leave it on for as long as you can. Rinse clean and then apply a moisturizer. Normally I use a mix of glycerin, an essential oil, S-curl or Sunsilk. Also, if you have your own hair out to cover tracks, don't neglect it! Make sure you wash and condition it as well. I hope this helps you....

...dang it's been a while since I posted here
