How do you use Emergencia?!

I kind of need help. I searched old threads and didn't really see anything. I dc'ed with it last week on dry hair. It wasn't all that silky. I don't like dc'ing on wet hair anymore. I forgot where it was mentioned, but someone said that dc'ing on wet hair doesn't allow as much dc to penetrate. This holds true for me as my hair has been doing much better with dry dc'ing.

Anyhoo... how do you use it?

Wet hair mixed w/Silicon Mix or as of late, SitriNillah for about an hour it I don't sit under a dryer.

You mean Nexxus Emergencia? I have used it 3 times- followed the directions on the bottle exactly. I think some ladies do it differently. I shampooed with Nexus Therappe, then applied the Emergencia & let it sit for a few minutes, then Shampooed again and followed by deep conditioning with Humectress.

Not the Nexxus product. The Dominican product. I haven't tried Emergencee though. I'm afraid as it's a super-harsh protein. My hair would probably snap and crackle...

You know a PJ knows her products lol!! You should really try mixing it with a super moisturizing DC. My hair is always soft afterwards .

Emergencia works well with heat. 30 minutes under the heating cap is good. I like it on towel dried hair, but it needs to be massaged in for good penetration since its pretty thick. I really like it, its a good blend of moisture and protein.
