First I would like to say hello to my fellow LHCF ladies. It's been a while but I've been lurking in the dark every now and again, been real busy as of late with school and work..

I have had a few set backs with my hair but it is now getting back on track. At this phase in my life I am so tired of going to salons and would like to attain that same gorgeous hair at home.. Don't get me wrong, i can do my own rollersets(in a half an hour, ughh!) but I feel like my hair always comes out better at the salon. right now my goal is to obtain the same results at home as I would at the salon. My last eperience was dreadful.. I waited 2 and a half hrs. to get my hair washed (not to mention I had sebastian deep penetraite in my hair for that long)then asked for a deep conditioner..She put a very small amount of cond. in my hair and put me under the dryer. Under the dryer I felt my hair and felt just water (wet hair). I was pissed and ended up not paying for the deep cond. and left w/o tipping... (on my own accord)But although I was pissed, when I took my hair down I was surprisingly happy... I'm just tired of the B.S. and would like to be more self reliant. Any advice?

Well Nikki, I feel you will learn all you need to know to get that look, from this board. Many of the ladies here had negative experiences at salons (some have had great ones) and are choosing to do their own hair. You are many steps ahead if you've mastered doing rollersets!

I know how you feel Nikki. No matter what I do, it always comes out better at the salon.

But I'm going to start practicing more, and have ordered a dryer for starters. This is going to be interesting.

Ditto, actually I'm going to the salon today for the first time in nearly a year. Wish me luck, lol...
