How do you flatiron eyebrow length bangs...

...so that they look slightly bumped (not curled) at the bottom but straight at the same time (meaning the corners don't stick out at a weird angle)? I was wondering b/c i have such a hard time flatironing my bangs so that they look presentable. I want it to look like it does after taking a wrap (doobie) down.

Also, i have a 1" flatiron (or 1.25") either way, it's a small one

A girlfriend told me to hold the hair straight up and flatiron that way (she said it should fall straight down flat) but mine always looks like the rim of a baseball cap

Any suggestions would b appreciated. Thanks.

Try holding the hair straight down instead of up, and pull the flatiron down the hair in a "C" shape. The ends should come out slightly bumped. That's the best way that I can describe it.

I was going to suggest holding it straight up but flat iron your hair making a C curve as you pull the flatiron through your hair! Then comb your hair down.

I tried it both ways, up into a C... down into a C but it never worked... and yes BSG, my iron is ceramic... well, it's ceramic plated

I hold mine straight down. When I run the flat iron through I try not to curl till the very last second (when I get to the very ends) Then I use a paddle brush and brush the curl down right away so it doesn't have time to set. It works half the time.

Thanks to all of u guys... i flat ironed my bang last nite and it came out good... well good enuf to wrap in the doobie and sleep on it... it looks good 2day.

I did the "C" move and it worked.
