How do YOU color shower?

So I am relaxing in 2 weeks (maybe 1 cause I wanna look cute at the MJB concert)... and I am finally gonna get to try my Mahogany Color Showers. Well I know us LHCF ladies dont always follow the directions...

SO HOW DO YOU COLOR SHOWER?

When I used to rinse I used to sleep in it...lol... Now I am thinking about sitting under the dryer with it for about an hour- an hour and a half and letting cool for 45 mins. Any suggestions ladies?


P.S... My ends are a tad darker than my roots... color is in fotki... do you think ill look like boo boo the fool?

I sit under a dryer with a plastic bag for 1 hour then I let it cool for an hour.

I follow the directions on the bottle exactly. No need to do anything extra/different. I get uniform results this way as well.

I HATED that it was visible on my scalp and it was all under my nails when I scratched...that made me not wanna use it again.

well i am color showering right now... the bottle says 12-15 mins under the dryer and let sit for 25-30 without heat

I been under for half an hour and I am about to come out... lets hope it looks cute

I HATED that it was visible on my scalp and it was all under my nails when I scratched...that made me not wanna use it again.

I don't like the scalp staining but i love my results so i deal with it. But i don't recall any scalp staining with the dark brown or black. Maybe it's the application? My old stylist pours it out of the bottle on my head and then just used the plastic cap to work it in. My new stylist applies it with an application brush. Perhaps if you apply it carefully enough (if that's even possibe) to avoid the scalp it won't stain?
