I'm waiting until next week to get my hair done. Now, my hair still looks great, but my front edges are killing me...they look so horrible and they're so short from breakage at the demarcation line. I guess I could flatiron them?

What do you do?

You know i had the same issue too. I don't think flat-ironing is a good idea. BUT that is what i did....well curling iron actually. I used really low heat and i pressed the curling iron on my edges (be careful not to burn yourself) I moved it VERY FAST. and after that, i kept my edges down by sleeping in a scarf with my in a pony at the top of my head. I had my hair styled in a phony bun on the top of my head and I had 2 shoestring headbands criscossed on my head. they kept my ends laying flat (without the use of gel or continualy flatironing) it was very cute.... mucho compliments!!!

good luck!

Yea there is something about that last week, my hair looks really crazy.

I usually break out some heavy gel and tie my edges down with a scarf.

I have been spraying my edges with S curl and then dab a little CD hair butter. Then I use my boar brush (very soft) and I brush gently until the hair lays down. I immediately tie a scarf to create a semi straight look. This has been working so far, dont know how I'll manage next week. :)

hahaha I sleep through the whole week, so when I wake up, it's time for the touch up! naaaawwww just kiddin'

I don't do anything really, just keep with my normal regime, and keep my mind on other things. A week really isn't that long, so before I know it, it's time to touch up.

You could try to wear a doo rag at night to help with your edges...

This is my last week. I am 12 weeks post relaxer. I get my touch-up in three days!!!! The only thing I've been able to do for the last 3 weeks is braidouts. It is perfect for extending relaxers and still wearing a cute hairstyle. Just do not comb your hair after you wash and do a 2-strand twist for less manipulation.
