How do longer lengths maintain their straight styles at night?

Hi

I have often wondered how do black women with relaxed longer hair (past armpit length) sleep on their hair at night and manage to maintain the straightness.

I'm looking into options for when my hair is this length as I don't think I would want to plait it every night and have waves the next day but I don't want to keep flat ironing it either to get the kinks out.

So what do you do?

Many thanks ladies

I don't really wear my hair completely straight too often, but what I would do is make very large pincurls: 1 in front, 2 in the back. I don't think your hair would have more than a slight bump to it in the morning.

I don't straighten very often either, but when I do I pin curl if I want body, cross wrap, or use my big triangle to tie my hair up, letting my hair hang loose but covered by the scarf (if that makes sense :ohwell:).

When my hair is straight (which is hardly ever ) I sleep in about 4-6 big pincurls secured with usually two bobby pins each. Then I tie my head up in a scarf and thats it. In the morning I don't have to do anything but take them down and I have pretty curled ends (see my profile picture.)
