I went to Tesco's last night and couldn't resist the urge when i saw them going for 99P each. for those of you who use herbal powders what do you mix them with? how long do you apply on hair for? what are the benefits? thanks in advance
I used mine as a shampoo with some other herbs in the form of powders. In the future, I plan on mixing it into some coconut oil with other things to make some type of hair grease or pomade. I haven't noticed too much of a difference by using it except for the fact that my hair doesn't feel overly dry anymore after I shampoo it.
I mixed mine with a lil amla oil, vitamin e oil and water. You can use just oil or just water. I also added a few biotin caps since I was mixing things up. I left it in for about an hour and rinsed. My hair was VERY shiny. Detangle your hair before you put it in, even with the oil it was astringent feeling going on, so you dont want to comb more than necessary, and use a wide tooth comb if you are going to try to distribute it evenly. Depending on your hair and thickness you may not need a comb. I thought my hair would feel stripped after I rinsed it out but it was very soft and very shiny.
HTH.
ETA: this is for the alma, I havent tried the other yet.
