Is it possible to make such a claim, to remedy split ends?
Has anyone used this product?
What do you think about the claim that it actually mends split ends?

Would you buy it?

Maybe it glues then back together, albeit temporarily

And no I wouldn't buy it the only thing that remedies split ends are scissors and I already have those

Most companies make these claims though in at least one of their lines. It probably has silicone to temporarily force the split ends to bond together. I've bought the conditioner since most of Tresemme's products work very well on my hair.

I thought there was some law against unrealistic claims on products.
Maybe I was wrong , but if it did work it would be amazing.
I just know that healing split ends ain't possible. Maybe it is just sticking them together.

Nexxus has a product like this too. I think it just smoothes or temporarily mends them together. If the hair is split you have to cut it off eventually

I have the leave in from this line but I haven't tried it yet. I didn't buy it cause I thought it could mend splits I just needed a leave in

No. I wouldn't buy it because any product maker that encourages keeping split ends instead of cutting them off can't possibly have my best interests at heart.

I wish there was, I feel like it would probably encourage better ingredients to be used in products before making flimsy claims.

It says up to 80% reduction in split ends in 3 uses... That could mean reduction in the amount split ends occurring or the reduction of split ends already in the hair. Even if they know the consumer may be thinking it means the former, the company can just say they meant the latter and there may be fine print on the back.

But I also hear companies literally say "repairs split ends", I think the "gluing together" effect allows them to say that even if they come unglued as soon as the hair is wet.

Just like there's some products that only make the hair feel moisturized on the outside, the company can still claim that it moisturizes the hair.

I read somewhere that the same company that owns Tresemme owns Nexxus and they patented some technology/ingredient that does aide in reducing split ends. They put it in these product lines at the different price points to appeal to different markets. You have to use the conditioner and the leave-in to see the most benefit though.

After I get my stash down, I'm going to try the Tresemme line for a while to see how true the claims are.
