Har har; I suffer from ultimate lazy syndrome... also known as procrastination. I keep talking about going back natural, but then I go and get it relaxed 4 months later. My hair was natural from grades 6-9 if that helps anyone. Some kid used to make fun of me though and said I looked like a lion :wallbash: My hair was gigantic to scare children and looked like this...

Then in 10th grade some guy messed up my hair and it ended up all jacked up and wouldn't grow for 2 yrs >:O and he cut it all the way to my chin so I was stuck with that. So now my hair is growing back and it's all icky looking. I'm tempted to cut it up to my chin and get an A-line. I had like 4-5" of growth in this picture, before I relaxed it a week later XD Ahh

And now it's gross looking like dis

I want to cut it, but I keep thinking that I'll look like an electrocuted poodle XD What's your input.

Your natural hair would look great short and long.

Just takes patience waiting for hair to grow out... but with proper care, you will get there!

I would kill for thick, long hair like that. I'm working on growing my own :)

i agree natural would be great for you because you could always have it flat ironed or blown out if you wanted the relaxed look.

but either way as long as its healthy it will look good. I suffer from being lazy myself most of the time so this winter i am just having my hair straight most of the time via blow outs but looking at the beautiful heads on here usually gives me enough motivation to at least take care of it enough to get by :yep:

Electrocuted Poodle! :lachen::lachen::lachen:

Sorry, but I know EXACTLY what you mean. I'm transitioning back to natural and I want to chop off the relaxed parts and get it over with but I'm afraid to be w/o my bun!

Your hair appears to be a softer/looser texture than mine though - so it would probably start to weigh itself down rather quickly. :yep:

I don't really have an answer to the original question but I just wanted to say that I love your name, love your SIGGY:lachen: and you are very pretty!:yep:

Afrika Bambaataa

As far as short goes, I would really like to get something like this:

or this

But I'm scared

LOL, yeah nothing like a mix of Falcor and Ledger's Joker to add to one's fix of daily delirium! Can you imagine seeing them flying around the city, lol.

Ok back on topic.

Love your hair. If natural is what you want, be patient with it, learn what it needs to thrive, embrace your lovely curls and once ready, cut off your relaxed ends - even if you do it slowly, like an inch a month or so as your hair grows. In the in between rock twist outs/braidouts/bantu knots. I think you just really need to become reacquainted with your natural locks, and just need to learn to let go of those past negative connotations others that have placed on your hair. You look like you'd definitely be able to pull of the looks you posted, it will just take time, patience, and products, lol.

One of my biggest problems is that I really hate to wear braids; I'll have them for a day and I go insane and rip it all out at night time.

Oh no no, that's not what I mean, lol. I haven't worn braids since I was like 10, lol. But what you can do is after a wash or co-wash, just braid up your hair (box braids will do), let them dry, you can even curl the ends with a roller or set the braids on flexirods, and then unbraid when they're all dry. Your relaxed hair will blend very nicely with your roots, and you have a style you can rock until you feel comfortable to cut off your relaxed ends.
