How can I ask about someone's hair routine...

Without sounding like a weirdo? Is it impolite to ask people that you don't know that well about their hair routine?

You could give a nice happy compliment 1st. Like "I noticed your hair and just had to tell you how pretty and thick it is. What's your routine like, because I have been doing some things that just aren't working for me".

For that moment, I would allow her to be a star while I am the fan (taking notes, of course ) .

I ask people all the time about haircare if I see them with girls that have nice healthy hair.I seemed to get more answers from strangers cause when I used to ask the mothers of my daughters friends for advice on haircare they would say"oh I don't do anything to my girls hair it just grows!! One parent told me to never wash my child's hair just let it grow off of dirt

I've had ladies ask me questions when I go to the beauty supply store if they see me buying products and they want to try them out erplexed I always take it as a compliment not rudeness.Cause when my hair is jacked up no one cares what i'm buying People have said "your hair is nice and thick how long have you been using that product" You won't get answers if you don't ask and in my experience some will tell you and others will keep it to themselves like a sacred secret but i'm never gonna stop asking

Like Scorpian, I've had people stalk my basket while I'm in the BSS, and that's just annoying to me b/c I'm not gonna bite their head off for talking to me. If they simply ask what I use or what I do, I'll tell. The only problem is that so many people accuse me of "lying" b/c I'm not using a miracle growth potion or monkey ball sweat. Slow and steady is winning my race.
