I'm sure they can. It's probably to give your hair the feel of slip while washing.

^^ thank you for responding! Yeah, I was reading the back of HEHH shampoo, and it has dimethicone in the ingredients list. If you were trying to remove cones, do you think cones in shampoo would just be counterproductive? Or would it even matter since the shampoo also contains sulfate? Do they cancel each other out? lol. Ugh, went to bed with a migrane from hades, woke up stupid early and my brain is mush. I wonder if I'm making any sense lol
