Im going through a horrible breakage phase from trying to do too many things at once.

I was going to try to transition so I used weave as a means until I could figure out my game plan. Mistake! *sigh* :nono:

My hair breaks in a curly state because it will tangle at the bottom and break. This happens even if I wear a wash-n-go for more than a day. I suffered a horrible setback in July and had to cut more than 3" ( up to my shoulder) after wearing a WNG during our vacation. Now here, once again, I'm suffering breakage from the braids under a weave (re-installed twice) for 3 months.

I re-texturized and have deiced to just keep my hair STRAIGHT.

I am trying to decide what things I can do do retain my ends outside of moisturizing them daily and not using bobby pins? Im thinking of ordering the new bun tool, Hot Buns to put my hair up to reduce winter rub on clothing.

When I was relaxed...I got 3 inches over 3 months one summer by bunning with and without a phony pony. Simple and effective. Very little breakage cause I would trim the ends once a month. A little rough...I know...prolly could have retained an extra inch but it worked.

have you tried Spin Pins or Good Day hair pins? they hold better and cause no breakage, snags, or rips. i use these for bunning.

hope it works out for you. i bought the small and the large ones. i have never had a problem with these. if you have thick hair, or a lot, use two. one going up on one side, and one going down on the other side.
