For those who have used both, which one do you like better??
I'm getting low on my Hot Six Oil (which I love), but I've been curious about the Wonder 8... Heck, maybe I should just get both (they're cheap enough!!
I think I've used Wonder 8 before and didn't like it as much. It made my hair feel gritty. Plus, I like the smell of Hot 6 Oil better (when it's fresh). I use Botanicals Oil now too.
wonder 8 for me I love the smell. It makes my hair really soft when sprayed on after washing and conditioning. Plus I can never find Hot 6 in a spray bottle.
I bought some Hot Oil Six for my mom to use on her hair. She really loved it. Every blue moon I'll use some to seal my hair when wet. It's very moisturizing. She also used it on her brittle nails. I, in my opinion, Hot Oil Six.
I have been using Wonder 8 for years, I love the smell and it works great...I use it all over my body too. It looks similar to the Hot Six oil, I'm guessing they're kind of the same, but i've never used it.
That stuff gives more sheen than Hot 6. My braid-out is bling-blinging. All I had to do last night was wash, add the Botanicals Oil and Palmers Coconut Oil and cornrow it up.
Yeah, when I used to use it on my scalp, I'd itch like crazy. But it helps to wash my hair or water my scalp more than once a week when using Hot 6 on my scalp.
Now, I alternate with using Hot 6 and Botanicals on my scalp since I no longer use grease on my scalp anymore. Botanicals has a cough medicine-like smell, but it is very sweet and light. It's the best smelling out of all them if you ask me, and it gives more sheen. But, it's very light. Hot 6 is thicker and much better to use before blowdrying or to tame frizzies, stuff like that.
I don't use either anymore but i used to love wonder 8 the best. not as greasy as the hot six.
what i really used to love was this oil by african pride, i think it was hot six or something, it is orange, don't even know if they still make it. it's in a bottle like the hot six oil. I tried it after i tried to use the other hot six oil and couldn't since it was so greasy that it was sweating through the bottle. I think it has mineral oil in it, but it used to be great for shine and for flat ironing. It wasn't as heavy as the hot six oil.
I use them when I air-dry in a ponytail (for shine, I guess...); and definitely for when I do my twist-outs, I coat each section with a little bit of oil before twisting.
I think Hot 6 is better for air-drying because it's thicker, in return, better for frizzies. The Botanicals isn't good for air-drying in my opinion, but I used some on my damp hair for a braid-out the other night with some coconut oil grease and it turned out lovely, so it's definitely good for adding shine to twist-outs (with my hair). And, my hair felt soft.

I can't even remember if I did, I've tried so much stuff. Are you using the orange one or the gold one? Glad you found something you like!

I guess it wasn't you... I traded with someone and got the Hot Six Oil last year... I've done quite a few trades and can never seem to get 'em straight!!
