I did a hot oil treatment last week, and I have Fantasia IC's super concentrated reconstructor. How often should I use these and what are ways to tell when I need to?

I think a hot oil treatment with for example olive oil can be done as often as you like. It won't harm the hair. I try to do them at least once a weak.
I don't really know about reconstructors though.

I think reconstructors are heavy-duty protein conditioners to be used occasionally to stop/prevent severe breakage and/or shedding.

I do a hot oil treatment once a week because I have really, really dry hair. I mix it with my motions moisture plus and it has done wonders for my hair. I got this ideas from a thread on this board about damaged hair treatment. it stated that if you suffer from extremely dry hair, then hot oil treatments should be done once per week.

I do pre-hot oil treatments with evoo once a week and use
my Lanza or vitale recontructor once a month.
