I'm planning on doing these sometime next week. My natural hair is brown, so I wanna throw some warm honey tones in the back/ends. Any tips on how to prep my hair before and after for the least amount of damage? Recommended store bleach brands and how to get the best color (not too red, not too blonde). TIA!

To help prevent damage I would say do a protein treatment about 2wks prior to coloring and then follow-up with moisture. When I used to have blond highlights my hair was ALWAYS dry, so I constantly had to keep moisturizing my hair.

As far as a brand, I really like Garnier. My sister just did red highlights and they came out Beautifully.

Good Luck and post pics:)

What pelohello said conditioning with protein and moisture is a must. Bleaching really does dry out the hair and weaken it. I know it did mine when I had purple highlights in mine. You have to stay on top of conditioning or it may start breaking off.
