I did this last night I was pleasantly please with the results. I am product junkie, I suffer severely from PJism. I can not justify paying the money for a hair steamer right now and I know I would talk myself into buying one. Pic are in my fotki.
 
You are quite the "handywoman" & this is a great idea.

I just wear a large gold conditioner cap and stick parts of my head in a facial steamer I won. (it's like the steamers sold in walgreens)
I'm your sister in product junkism and I priced a steamer. -Not at all willing to spend $200+. Even tried to convince my mother to purchase one -she's a beautician (she said no)

I saw someone's post that does this method, but I don't have a facial steamer. I was looking for a facial steamer at the thrift store but found this and just worked with what was available.

Yeah, it did work really well. I have never had my hair steamed before. My hair was steaming 10 minutes after I washed it.
