Interesting, because every AA stylist I have ever known blow dries this way. Go figure. I mean, their clients would walk into the salon with brillo pads on their heads, and walk out swinging hair so hard they would need neck braces by the end of the week. I dunno, maybe it's a bty school thing, b/c most of the stylists I know all went to the same bty school.

See, that's interesting to me bc I have NEVER heard of blowing out the roots until I joined this board!!! I am glad I did, though, bc blowing out my roots with the lower heat setting (just to get that little separation of hair from the rollers out), my roller sets I've been doing all my life no longer look like granny styles to first day! They definitely look more modern and flow-y...:yep:

coincidentally, I just did one today. Here is what the results look like. I think I did pretty good for my first time. I washed it, used silicon mix intensive treatment. then after rinsing, I applied lacio lacio leave in and alter ego curative treatment
