I will be going on holiday for 10 days in august. It will be in Nigeria....and i have to look stunning!!
I have been racking my brain trying to come up with what to do with my hair without damaging it. I will be taking my phony pony which still manages to look glam sometimes. I will also be getting a fringe wig made within the next few weeks (will post pics when i have done it...but i might not wear it often cos its far too hot for continious wigging in Nigeria)
But i also want to look cute with my own hair on some days. But i dont know how. Its seems every cute hair style invloves some kind of hair frying or hair breakage:perplexed. Besides it will be my one year aniversary with you lovely ladies in september. I dont want to loose all my progress just because i'm trying to look hot for 10 days.
My hair is about 2 inches from apl..and very fine/scanty so braid outs just look wrong on me. Not sure what other ...ooomph hair styles there are for someone with my hair type....any suggestions will be appreciated.

Also...what hair products would you take with you when going on holiday? I've been bogged down with lists of things to buy for 'friends' in Nigeria...and seeing as my luggage allowance is 40 kg (the bl**Dy idjits..my shoes and bags alone would weigh ******* 40KG)...i dont know what to take?
HELP!!

Thanks soun....i must say though...
macherie's hair is so silky and thick...my hair is fine and fragile and prone to severe tangles... i never brush my hair and i only comb on wash days... I love the way her hair looks but i am scared that if i try to repeat that style my hair will break too much.

Do you know any other style?

you can just do rollersetting with big grey rollers it will give you the same effect with bump in the end of hair and finger comb it!

I feel you Henrietta. Keeping up with your hair while on holiday is a challenge because you can't bring a lot of your stuff from home with you.

How will you be wearing your hair under the wig? Maybe you could get a cute braided style that would look good on its own and be good for under the wig as well?

What about an instant weave...that way you can wear the front out and just blend the back with
the weave...it may not be as hot as a full wig.....are you natural?
Here are some pictures of instant weaves..:)

I sometimes wear my hair up everything going back with 2 or 3 skinny headbands and twist the back up to give it some height..sorry I don't have a picture:)

You should get some small plastic containers to put different products in.....do they still have the 3oz limit from London?
Have a great vacation:)

Girl,
i bought one of those instant weave things and just trying it on, my hair kept catching and breaking on the comb attachment...
do you have to take out the combs and pin the half wig unto your hair?

I've considered this but i have feeling that i wont be able to wear that all the time because of the heat...i will def want to wear my hair down for a few days (prefarably in a way that the length will be visible;))

This is sounding good.
One silly Q though...If i use the largest rollers will i be able to get my hair straight (i'm hoping to show of my little length for at least a couple of days;))

Yes...I cut out the combs...I def. think it would break off the hair...I use bobby pins instead......
