Sorry about the Swedish but I need help.

For years I've been wondering why my hair is frizzy and shedding when I used to have "good" hair wgen I lived in the States.
Well it finally hit me.

I've been so worried about over-processing that I've under-processed.

I used kiddie perms for about 3 years but reverted back to lye (motions mild) about 6 times ago.
The thing is now my roots refuse to get straight. When newly relaxed they look like everyone else's new growth.

My question is can I somehow re-relax my under-processed puff? Should I use regular since the mild is not doing the job ... although I do rinse it out too fast probably ....

I'm thinking about doing it in about 8 weeks since I'm gonna braid it this weekend.

HELP!

Nina, try a regular relaxer the next time. Also are you doing your re-touch or do you have someone else do it? If you do it yourself find someone you trust to do the back and you do the front(at the same time). Be sure to base your scalp really well also. Then you should trim your ends after you do the relaxer.

If you did a strand test, you'd know how long to leave it in and which strength to use to get the results you're looking for.

Hmm, might have to try a regular relaxer next time.
But what is base?
How does one do it?

And yes, a strand test will be done this time (my first!).

Thanks!
