Hi everyone,
Ok first i have to admit i have been a lurker for about ummmm... for like 2 0r 3 years yeah i know...long time. Lets see first things first i did my big chop like a week before Christmas. It was scare at first but once the sissors came out there was no turning back. I had been transitioning since summer of 2008 and i could handle haveing the to textures. I tell you when my mom saw my hair after i cut it she flipped out...lol She still doesn't like it...oh well. Sorry i dont have any pictures from my big chop but now i have microsbraids i can get a little bit of growth before my spring break. I plan to take them out the First of March. Ok um what else...um oh yeah i think im a 4a, not sure yet. I don't have a regime yet but im working on it. Right now im cleaning out my cabinets full of products, im a recovering product junkie :yep:. So far ive found a box full of chi products, and two bottle of aloe vera gel, so jasmine oil Boundless tresses and some different shampoos ive tried over the years. Let see RELAXERS ARE THE DEVIL:wallbash: atleast for my hair it they are. it made it thin and limp and ugh just so darn unnessary problems, all cuz i wanted it for my 13th bday, so not a good idea. my hair never grew past my shoulders. The only vitamins i take are the gummies flintstone vitamins, i tried hair, nail vitamins and just didn't like them. first they were too big for my to swallow and taking three time a day is too much for me. My over all goal is to have health hair and not have to wear weaves or braids anymore. i want to feel and see my own hair again. Weaves were cool and cute but it mess my edges up. Currently im using a clarifying shampoo ever two weeks on my scalp to help with product build up. i oil my scalp once a week, its drier during the winter especially where i live. I bought the oil olive Hair one cleanser having used it yet, but i read it was a cheaper but similar to the Wen system. College student budget people:yawn:...anyway im glad im finally able to join this board, and finally be on my way back to healthy natural hair again.

Welcome, I'm new here as well! I've been aboard for about a month now and I'm loving it. I hope you enjoy as much as I have!! Happy Hair Growing.

I'm a newbie with you...but welcome anyway!!!

And welcome to the world of being natural (not so new to that...lol), it's truly a beautiful thing. No offense to anyone but I would never go back to relaxers. I hope having natural hair is what you expected and more!

Becoming natural was a werid feeling, i haven't seen my natural hair since i was 13, i didnt know that my hair was as thick as it was, and before i got my micros, i found myself smiling in the mirror because i looked so different but in a good way... and i was having to much fun playing with the tiny spring hair strands in my head:yawn:
