(not me, my mother's wedding)

..any pre-braiding tips?
I plan on washing w/ Pantene Pro-v Women of Color Moisturizing shampoo, and doing a DC (and maybe a hot-oil treatment as well).
Is there anything else I should do prior to my hair being braided?

Also, has anyone had 'feed-in' conrows, and if so, are they better than just the regular ones?:ohwell:

Thanks. :)

I usually just wash, condition and blow dry and oil my hair before getting it braided. Feed-in cornrows look better to me because you don't have that bump at the beginning of the cornrow. All the places I've gone to charge more for the feed-in cornrows, but it is worth it for me and the look that I go for.

When I used to get my hair braided, I'd make sure to do a protein and moisturizing treatment.

I also used to comb my hair with my own wide-toothed comb before I let the braiders touch it with their fine-toothed comb.

By "feed-in" cornrows, are you referring to cornrows where extension hair has been added? If so, I've had those before. I like that they are quick to do and undo, but I don't like that they make me look even younger. In terms of if they're "better" than regular ones, I guess that depends on you and your preferences.
