I just recently joined this site and was so excited to see the wealth of knowledge provided by you ladies. You all seem so helpful and kind to one another. It's absolutely refreshing.
Well here is a basic rundown of my hair story. I once had gorgeous full hair, about 4 inches past shoulder length until I decided to get braids. Well I kept them for 2 months and decided to go to a salon to remove them. I told them they could cut the ends off to make it easier to remove but they underestimated my hair length and ended up cutting way too much off in the back. I looked like a freakshow - 12 inches in the front and about 4 inches in the back. - I cried all day.
Anyway, they offered to give me a free weave to make up for the loss of hair in the back. Which I regretfully accepted. Seemed like my only choice at the time. But long story short, the weave did so much damage to my hair, i ended up loosing an additional 5 inches from the front and 2 inches from the back
. It's been two years and $4000 in weaves and it's time for me to start anew. I have switched to clip ons which I wear only to work and sometimes on the weekends. I wash twice a week, henna (cassia) about twice a month. And I am thinking of starting pre-natal vitamins today. If you ladies can offer me any more advice, I would really appreciate it
. Thank you and sorry for the long story.
