Whats up everyone, okay I've finally saved up enough money to buy my vitamins(i know i'm late but i'm young and saving for school so bare with me lol) First i want to thank everyone here for your wonderful insights for taking care of your hair:D ...I can tell my hair has grown and gotten thicker(even though its always been too "thick" for hair stylists) in the last two months and i've stretched my relaxer for almostTHREE months(last one was first week of april:eek: ) um now that i have my basic routine down i've come to the decision to take vitamins. I went to the vitaman shoppe and their prices got me down:eek: so i decided i had to save up for it...but then recently i went to CVS(i hope u guys know of it, its like a grocery store with everything BUT food lol) like a pharmacy and stuff and i happened to go to the vitamin section and their stuff was way more in my price range:cool: ..so my ? is can someone tell me the exact type i should get, i mean i know to get biotin and b complex and msm but they had so many different kinds and the names weren't exactly the same as in here so i got really confused, i'm really scared that i will take the wrong kind and kill myself or something:eek: so um, yea lol can i get a description or a photo of what kind i should get..i'm going later on today!

and my next ? is although i use shea butter and jojobo oil and castor oil my hair is still really dry in the middle:mad: (the thickest part of my whole head) so do u know of anything i can use to keep it moisturized and stuff since i've heard from a few of u that using hair grease and stuff isn't good for your hair.

Thanks for listening

Sorry I have no idea about vitamins but as far as moisture I luv ORS hair lotion. My hair used to be really dry too especially in the middle and the nape. It works great for me. You could try this and then seal it by apply some type of oil. I use EVOO from my local grocery store. It keeps the moisture in all week which is great for me because I only do my hair once a week. I do apply the lotion and more EVOO as needed though. Sometimes daily on my driest areas. HTH

For vitamins I hear the Puritan's Pride biotin is good, I'm in the UK so I use Holland & Barrett biotin, MSM (capsules), Flaxseed oil, Perfectil Hair & Nails (acts as my multivitamin) and a bunch others, I could go on.

Generally though it seems biotin and MSM works for most people in addition with a general multivitamin (preferably those made for women). HHG!!

Hi I am so glad you made this post because I have the same problem. I know which vitamins to buy, but no which brands are the best. As some stated above me about purtians pride, I was going to buy everything from them, biotin, flaxseed, msm, multi-vitamins, they have everything at GREAT PRICES:thumbsup: , but I was wondering which brands to get like you:confused:

thanks for the replies ladies i wasn't getting any help yesterday with it...i'm just gonna wing it and go purchase some today

I just purchased Wal Mart's OneSource Hair, Skin & Nails vitamin - pretty inexpensive. It has MSM, Biotin, Gelatin & other multivitamin stuff. I can't speak to its effectiveness because I just started. I am a newbie trying to take the info. from this board to build a regimen.
