I am so happy to join my LHCF family and have some hair pics to post. Now I just have to figure out how to load them. :look: Stay tuned! I may need some help from my girls. :p

Awhhhh...Group hugs. (I need MonaLisa lil group hug smiley right here.)

*Question...what do you put on the end of your hair to keep the twist up when you air dry??? TIA

Yay, group hugs!! Yeah where is Mona, she always has the best smileys...

When airdrying, I don't put anything on the ends of the hair, I just create 4 braids and that alone controls frizz and sets the ends. If for some reason my ends are looking wild once dry, once in a blue moon I'll create another twistout/braidout after applying leave-in and then set the ends on extra small self holding rollers from Sally's, they're lavendar colored. hth ;)

Thanks, girl! You hair has been a constant source of inspiration to me. You turned me onto to Paul Mitchell The Detangler!

Muahahahha, yeah I've been putting those truckloads of conditioner to good use!! :lachen:

Thanks girlie. I'm glad you like PMTD.

Thanks Naturellle, you're so sweet! My regimen has remained pretty consistent, all though I have had quite a few million hair products run thru my reggie because of pjism.  Here's what I do:

I pre-poo with conditioner to detangle and pre-condition my hair and braid up my hair in 5 plaits.
I shampoo with sulfate-free poos, and clarify as need needed, with a 1st lather followed by 2nd lather with moisturizing poo.
I take down each braid one at at time and apply instant conditioner and let it sit while showering, then I proceed to comb and detangle under the shower stream.
Lately, I have been good about deep conditioning. After showering I have been towel blotting my hair and then deep conditioning under the hood dryer for 15-20 minutes and then rinsing under a hand held shower head. When I am lazy, I use the pre-poo as my deep conditioning treatment.

I always airdry. Currently I'm experimenting with ponytail rollersetting, I love the smoothness this gives my hair. Sitting under the hood dryer, I have an Ion Hard Bonnet, also seems to close the hair cuticles and make the hair look nice too.

I use protective styles on occaision and low manipulation hair styles braidouts/twistouts. I only comb on wash days too. HTH ;)

I so have been doing this, to some extent cause I've been slipping drastically with doing my braids and I need to resume doing so. I know I was doing the right thing after reading this...;)

I so thank you for giving me that push to try Garnier and Africa's Best Leave In Hair Mayo, I haven't been this fond of new products since I found my beloved WRTC, NTM DDC and Phytorelaxer. *big hair hug*

I'm pretty much going to be rocking braidouts/occasional rollerset for the next few months and I swear on my life...I've been fingering picking up some more scrunchi ouchless flat bands to start doing the ponytail rollersets at home. I tried it three times last year...and it wasn't bad. Even air drying without a hooded dryer, my ends came out smooth on the roller.

Good luck with the ponytail rollersetting and let us know how it goes! We wanna see!!:look:

Quick question: Sulfate free poos - Have you ever thought about trying out shampoo bars? Or is sticking with CON pretty much working for you (I just picked up a bottle last week, I shoulda never strayed:ohwell: )

Isn't it great finally finding products that work? It makes all the world of difference, doesn't it? :yep:

My next ponytail rollerset, I'm going to try using my mini-scrunchies by Scunci since they're really gentle on hair...

I've never tried shampoo bars, where do you get yours? That sounds tempting... I love going the sulfate-free route, CON is my favorite, the new Organix line has some nice ones too, I have the Coconut Milk and Vanilla Silk ones. :lick: I also have some Dr. Bronners Castille Soap that one of these days I want to use. It has excellent oils like coconut, olive, hemp and jojoba oils. *Sigh* so many products so little time.

I actually ordered a couple on ebay; if you want, I'll send you one...
I know there's room now after all the clearing out of products you did
:look:

Thanks Mona Lisa, that's so sweet. I'll give your offer some thought... Although I do have currently 6 bottles of poo in my shower and 2 bottles of Dr. Bronners on deck, I still have a bit of using up to do. :look:

OMG, thanks so much Mestiza. You are so special to me. Remember how you encouraged me on my henna journey when I was ready to throw in the towel? Yay for henna and the LHCF sistahood! :rosebud:

I feel the same way about you, Priestess!

I apologize for just seeing this. :( Yes, I remember our henna discussions. :yep: I'm so glad that you gave it another try. :) I've got a lot of catching up to do on Sareca's henna thread. I'm probably hundreds of pages behind, by now.
