I was just going over your wet bun method and I'm thinking of trying it to keep my hair moist. But I have a fw questions...

  1. Can I do this on natural hair?
  2. Would I only do this on wash day?
  3. Would I have to maybe twist my ends or something from keeping them from tangling with each other?
  4. How long do you recommend keeping the bun in for, or does this process get repeated every day (every two days etc.)
  5. Could you maybe post the ingredients of the Hawaiian 14-1
TIA! I really want to retain moisture the best way I can. I'm hoping this method works for me.

1- Yep, it can be done on natural hair :yep: I do it on my natural 4a dd all the time
2-I do it every day, including wash day
3-You can twist or braid your ends if they're prone to tangle
4-I redo the bun daily because I had a period when my hair dredded (sp) and knotted up every day. It traumatized me and I'm scared the dreds will come back, so I comb daily. You can redo every 2-3 days. HS keeps hair moist for days!
5-I'm cooking Thanksgiving dinner right now, so I'll have to get back to you on the ingrdients. There are a LOT of ingredients! If I forget to come back to this thread (which is likely, because I have a horrible memory  ) pm me and I'll give them to ya!

i used to wet bun everyday and my hair loved it. i would do it for weeks at a time before i got bored which is good for me because i love to wear my hair straight.
but how do you do this during this winter? i tried to do it a couple weeks ago and had the worst headache.

^^To me there is a difference between wet bunning and Tiffers "wet bunning". I can't do wet bunning 1. bc I hate the look and 2. if my head is cold I will be chilled throughout the entire day and I can't function like that. Tiffers is saturating her hair with a spray on moisturizer and to me that is different. I know I don't use as much moisturizer as she does but my hair is still moist every time I take my bun down and put it back up. I use Hairveda's Hydrasoft Spritz to saturate my hair, use Hairveda's whipped cream on my ends , then seal with Hairveda's avosoya. Works for me.
