lurking here for about 3 months. You ladies give good advice and I've noticed a big difference in my hair as far as retaining my length and moister balance. I love this forum and all you ladies in it cause we are so into our hair and love hair talk. Right now my hair is about an inch past my collarbone and hopefully I'll have brastap by the summer. I have'nt had a relaxer since Sept. and I want to stretch it out until Feb 05 because I am on accutane and I'm scared to have chmicals on my scalp while on this medicine. Has anyone ever relaxed while on this medication?

Thats all for now I just wanted to introduce myself. LOL!!!

Welcome SexyC!

This is a good question. You may want to check with your doctor and a pharmacist to see if there would be a chemical reaction using a relaxer while on Accutane. If so, it's only two more months for a total of 5 months to stretch your relaxer (if you are saying you'll be off of Accutane by then).

Well the last time I was on this medication for about 6 month in 2002. I did a relax 3 time in those 6 months and every single time I burned my scalp pretty bad.

I am on acutane for my second time and this time I don’t want to use relax in scalp until I get finish with this medication.
But then again I think this is very individual, because one friend of mine did her re- touch as usually without problems at all.

Hiza…
