For some reason I ended up with what seems like more strands of hair than anybody I know, so that even though I lose about 50 hairs a day it still turns out ok.
Cause I have done so much crap to this head I should be bald!
But for breaking past the shoulder length stage I do have to give credit to the Dominican salons, even tho I have now out-grown them.
There are some seriously beautiful albums on this site though, especially the natural ones, as I feel that is going to be my next step as soon as I figure out a good way to transition.
But thank you ladies for all your great input. You'll create a PJ out of me yet!

Mahalailee- The dominicans worked really well for me because they didn't relax my hair bone straight, but they would blow dry it really straight. The vast majority of my breakage comes from combing my hair while it is frizzy so they eliminated that as long as I left my hair in between appts.
Leolady- I am not entirely sure how to type my hair as I have many different textures. For example, the hair at the very top of my head grows in just like my relaxed hair, almost completely straight. But the hair bhind my ears is so coarse that if i stick my finger in it I can't get it out. I have about two months of new growth right now. I have from 2b to off the charts kinky all on the same head. The majority of it though seems to be a 4a, some coarse, some smooth.
Jancan- It was about 8 years betwen that picture and the length in my avatar, but I had to cut to neck length 4 years ago because of a bad braid experience. By best growth year was two years ago when I took a yer off from college. all my friends were back in school and I couldn't find a job after 9/11 so I spent a lot of time sitting around at home. I barely touched my hair that year and it grew like a weed. I wish I could have another year off like that! My magic formula is definitely the less styling the better.
