I have type 2C hair, I got the yuko system straightening thing done about 2 monthes ago, and I want to use something to temporarily straighten out my root when it grows out longer. Is this hennalucent work like a conditioner or something? I don't wanna use it if it makes my hair more damage or dry cause I already got enough chemical in my hair, if it's totally safe like a conditioner then I would really want to use this, and plus do you have to apply it regularly so keep it straighten? thanks ladies

You might try paging or sending a private message to HennaJoy. She's a member with an extensive knowledge of Henna products.

...and welcome to our little corner of web.

Hi Karen

Welcome to LHCF!

Hennalucent is the only henna containing product that I am aware of that is compatible for chemically treated hair. Please run a search on "hennalucent" because many members who relax their hair and use this product have reported no problems of breakage whatsoever. This is the only henna-containing product that I would recommend for someone who relaxes or dyes their hair. I have used this product extensively with no adverse effects. You can buy it at most beauty supply stores. I use Neutral.

welcome to the baord karen...sorry i cant help coz i kno nothin about henna but i jus wanted to extend my welcoem to you

Hey Karen, you may want to email HennaJoy if her PM's don't work, because she knows all about it, and welcome to the board, Beverly

Welcome!I think you'll be okay with this becuase it is not permanent. Just be sure to moisturize really well afterwards. Also I have better luck when I mix it with an oil(olive oil is good).
