So this weekend I plan on trying henna for the first time this weekend...
I'm a little scared. I know I need to do a really good DC after and so far I haven't found one I like.
Suggestions?

I use Lustrasilk Mango Shea Butter mixed with oils after I henna and its turned out great so far.

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration, although not a traditional DC, is another sure bet. Always leaves my hair (4b & dryness-prone) and my DD's hair (3c/4a moisture loving) SUPER moisturized. I normally add EVOO & a ceramide oil to this as well.

Good luck- and let us know how it turns out!

last two times i've applied henna, i do the ORS replenishing moisturizer under a heat cap for at least 30 minutes. but i also put conditioner in my henna mixture so that it is easier to rinse and it provides a little extra conditioning. i think that's called a henna gloss here on the board. i mixed in about a cup and a half of suave conditioner (doesn't matter what fragrance). best of luck!

I always use Silk Elements Megasilk (the regular, not the olive oil version) after my henna treatments.

Not sure if this is the most recent henna thread, but I have started back using henna and am AMAZED at the results. I am seeing much less hair breakage and more hang time. Woot!

Shea moisture manuka works great with heat after though my hair usually doesnt require a super moisture dc after henna so I started using a reconstructor instead.
